I know what you're thinking. Who do these guys think they are ? That's easy, Men in Black, it's right at the top of the page. Also, that these guys have come up with a rip off name for a Punk Band, right ? Well, we've been Men in Black since Sept. 1977, long before the movie (which I kinda liked), joining a line of other MIB's, dating from 1934 with the 3 Stooges' short, "Men in Black", Johnny Cash, a pro golfer from the 60's named Johnny Player, the alien's secret agents, the term coined in the books of paranormal writer John Keel, the Stranglers (who dropped the moniker after being told of our existence) and of course late comers, Steven Spielberg, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. They're also calling the late, great NASCAR driver Dale Earnhart the Man in Black now and also worth a mention is acclaimed filmmaker John Sayles, who couldn't resist playing a man in black in his underground classic "The Brother from Another Planet".
Whew ! Now that that's out of the way, welcome to our web page. Shortly after being founded, we helped to form the 1st generation, New Orleans Punk Scene. Then moved to San Francisco, where we terrorized those poor souls too, until May 1984. We merged with the Wayward Youth in 1993 in New Orleans and are still going strong.
If you've been around any type of rock n roll for a while, you've probably seen hundreds, if not thousands of bands, and if you're still not sure if you've seen us live, than you haven't. You would remember. Love us or hate us, the effect was never indifference. At times, we're the wildest or most hated band in whatever scene we were in, able to clear any dance floor within minutes, or able to keep 'um, jaw gapping open to the wee hours. We've got no problem relaying this information, since many of the bands that are our heroes, had this same reputation at one time (or still have it), i.e. Zappa, Captain Beefheart, The Velvet Underground, and The Stooges. Another reason you haven't heard of us was that the whole point of the Punk Scene in the '70's was not to be commercially acceptable. If we wanted to go Pop we would've sold out a long time ago. Instead, we choose not to try to sound like anyone else (no matter which trend was in that year), develop our own sound, fuse energy, musicianship (not too much though), impressionism, insanity, noise, poetry, atonality, poly-rhythms, electronics and good old American sweat. If it sounds like a little too much, than maybe it is.
Thanks for stopping by, cum again.

Musicians Tell Republicans to Stop Using Their Music
When introducing the Nazi witch Sarah Palin as vice presidential candidate, the Republicans played the song "Barracuda." Heart were not happy. Neither was the band Van Halen happy about them playing "Right Now" as McCain walked on, and Jackson Browne was really pissed that they* used his song "Running On Empty" in a commercial. Also used without permission were the band Orleans's song "Still the One" (one of the co-writers is now a Democratic New York Congressman), and Franki Valli's song "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You."
What do you think McCain & Team's reaction was to the demands from the artists that they stop? Anyone? It was the same thing Republicans have said to everyone not "in the fold" for over a decade: "Fuck you." "Barracuda" is still pumping out at campaign stops featuring the wicked witch of the far north.
Heart Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart have informed the McCain/Palin Campaign that Universal Music Publishing and Sony BMG have sent a cease-and-desist notice to not use one of Heart's classic songs "Barracuda," as the congratulatory theme for Sarah Palin. The Republican campaign did not ask for permission to use the song, nor would they have been granted that permission. "We have asked the Republican campaign not to use our music. We hope our wishes will be honored."**
Van Halen "Permission was not sought or granted nor would it have been given."
Jackson Browne
"We are confident that Jackson Browne will prevail in this lawsuit. Not only have Senator McCain and his agents plainly infringed Mr. Browne's copyright in Running On Empty, but the Federal Courts have long held that the unauthorized use of a famous singer's voice in a commercial constitutes a false endorsement and a violation of the singer's right of publicity," Lawrence Iser of the Santa Monica, California law firm Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert said in a press release. "In light of Jackson Browne's lifelong commitment to Democratic ideals and political candidates, the misappropriation of Jackson Browne's endorsement is entirely reprehensible, and I have no doubt that a jury will agree."
*Officially the Ohio State Republican Party in an ad against Obama. **The song is still in use because the Republicans paid ASCAP, a corporation established to provide income from radio and other musical performance. Have I mentioned that our copyright laws are designed to enrich the ultrawealthy and have nothing to do with the artists that created the music? "14 days that deep fried the world"
what's almost over is the planet as we know it, or in layman's terms, 'THe End of the World". So loosen up. there's not much we can do about it so enjoy this few days we've been givin'. Alki's, fall off that wagon, Fatties, go for that cheese cake. the Illuminati used to play this 1, 2 trick. Now their employing their here to fore unseen,1,2,3 trick. we'll see how this works out. most haven't even noticed its so confusing, hehe. The right wing talkers have been on the air all day saying how we should go toe to toe with the Russkies. No one stopped us in Iraq, and look at those armies in Georgia. Dam the shape we're in now, the silly lookin' Georgians could smoke us. we've spent obver 7 years fighting an illegal war, losing the best and brightest from all branches, worn out our gear, all so a few guys could get rich. Well I'm feeling too good not smoking, i think i'll celebrate the end by not lighting up. Join me daily for the countdown to the end. thank God we don't have to fight those underage Chinese gym girls, they fight dirty and have some sneeky moves to be sure. Let's put it at 14 days to go. ok?

Top Brass Defends Russia's Right to Preemptive "Nuclear" Strike

One only has to glance back at international conflicts over the last 200 years to see "What's going on." thanks Marvin. Geneva means nothing on the battlefield. What the powers that be stand for does. During the American Civil War, the use of the Union Blockade was tolerated by Europe. They rolled it up and stashed it in their bag of dirty tricks. Then were WWI and WWII came along, out came the established rules of fat fuck war sec. Stanton, so millions could die legally over his hatred and greed. Now a few years ago we illegally invaded a county called Iraq. Russia did nothing more than sit on her hands hands and wait for her day.

i don't know what's happening. the main line media has cum to the realization that they're losing money on a war no one cares about. they've been told bluntly, if you want our presdential commericals on your cable news shows, then you have to scratch our backs too. roughly translated to more stories about our boys, the candidates, not the soldiers. well, our shirts are off and the collected, putrid skin of our backs are waiting to be sratched.
Otherwise, there's some hit and miss stories 'bout georgians being blindfolded, abused, then swapped for russian p.o.w.'s. the left out the sexual abuse going on, hey? haven't you guys heard of or seen any Tom of Finland prints? there not for eveyone, i will cop to that.

NATO: deaf, mute, and blind
Did the NATO presser on the South Ossetian crisis presented by the alliance’s head Jaap de Hoop Scheffer make any sense to you? I didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. It was an appalling exercise in doublethink and confusion.
Scheffer started out by saying: “it’s not business as usual with Russia.” That is the only thing he said that reflects reality. NATO’s “business as usual” is to ignore Russia’s legitimate security interests – particularly when it comes to expansion eastwards. The rest of his less-than-media-slick presentation demonstrated that NATO is simply at a loss – completely disconnected with how the world has changed after its favourite Georgian son fully de-legitimised NATO’s mantras of “spreading democracy” and “projecting peace.”
How is NATO deaf?
De Hoop Scheffer’s not-ready-for-prime-time show glaringly tells us that he and the alliance he heads will not listen to criticism or respect the security interests of others. When asked to justify the alliance’s existence almost two decades after the end of the Cold War, he was defiant and basically speechless. When asked about Georgia’s culpability for starting the war against South Ossetia, he was silent. He simply refused to answer a journalist’s question - “business as usual.”
How is NATO mute?
De Hoop Scheffer refuses to comprehend that Russia is adhering to its commitment to the ceasefire plan in a way that any actor in a complex conflict zone must always face. Yes, it is far easier to enter a conflict zone than to leave it. A military alliance should understand this. But then again, NATO is only really interested in promoting very specific geopolitical interests that ignore the security of others like Russia. Indeed, “business as usual.”
NATO has shown zero responsibility when it comes to security in the south Caucasus. Even after Saakashvili’s recklessness, Tbilisi is still welcomed into the alliance. If this isn’t the death of outrage, I don’t know what is. Georgia is neither peaceful nor democratic. But that doesn’t matter. NATO has a two-decade long tradition of saying one thing and doing another - “business as usual.”
How is NATO blind?
NATO is an organisation that demands to exist for existence sake. The alliance needs a ten-step self-help programme to wean itself off bad habits. It cannot see how the world has changed. The Cold War is long over. It would seem that the alliance likes living in the past. But alas, it needs an enemy to keep those generous paychecks coming. Russia is not NATO’s enemy. But NATO’s behaviour tells us the opposite.
Even Helen Keller could sense that NATO is going down the wrong path. NATO and Russia face a multitude of global security threats. Why should one madman in Tbilisi derail all of this?
I suppose it is “Business as usual," or businesss as usual if your die furher.

Go East, Uncle Sam
... one thing should make the Americans think hard about reverting to an anti-Russian mentality. Extremist Muslims hatched the September 11, 2001, attacks on the US. These radicals were the product of the US's fixation with the Russians - the US had assisted and trained the mujahideen to oppose the Soviets in Afghanistan in the 1980s.

"If my guesses are confirmed, suspicions will arise that there is someone in the United States who specially created this conflict in order to exacerbate the situation and give one of the candidates an advantage in fighting for the office of the president of the United States. And if this is a fact, it is nothing other than use of so-called administrative resources in home policy struggles, and their worst, bloody form as well," the premier said.
This is CNN's report "Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has accused the United States of orchestrating the conflict in Georgia to benefit one of its presidential election candidates."

TSKHINVALI (Tiraspol Times) -
posted 8-8-8-
Georgia in US-financed arms race for war on Abkhazia, South Ossetia Tskhinvali, the capital of South Ossetia, is seen as the top takeover- target of Georgia's military plans
Despite not being at war with anyone, for the year 2007 the military budget of Georgia is showing the highest growth rate of any country in the world, with much of it being financed openly and directly by its key military partner, the United States.
As a result, fears run high in Tskhinvali these days. The capital of the small Republic of South Ossetia is increasingly seen as the next target of Georgian military aggression, and many here worry that it is only a matter of time before enemy troops unleash an assault on the city.
Some international analysts agree. Vicken Cheterian, a journalist and political analyst who works for the non-profit governance organization CIMERA, based in Geneva, says that "Georgia's military plans reveal its ambition to reclaim the territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia it lost in the wars of the early 1990s."
The journalist, who is a regular contributor to Le Monde Diplomatique, points out that since the "rose revolution" of 2003-04, Georgian military spending has effectively been increased by over forty times. The majority of Georgia's arms purchases are financed directly or indirectly from Washington. Salaries for Georgian soldiers have also repeatedly been paid for by American taxpayers.
Vicken Cheterian, a journalist and political analysts who works for Geneva's Cimera group, warns that Georgia's 40-fold increase in military spending is targeted against Abkhazia and South Ossetia. " - According to the official goal of joining NATO, Georgia needs to modernize its army, train its soldiers, and build facilities for them," he writes in an article entitled Georgia’s arms race. "But observers in Tbilisi point that out patterns of spending suggest that Georgia has other projects apart from its NATO ambitions."
U.S. money behind Georgian arms build-up According to Cheterian, the Georgian defence ministry announced in early May 2007 that it will sharply increase its current defence budget, from 513 to 957 million lari ($304m to $567m). This escalation follows an already impressive rise in defense spending since the "Rose revolution." This means that since the arrival to power of Mikheil Saakashvili, defence spending has continued on an upward spiral.
The arms build-up is financed by the United States, he writes in the article which was published by OpenDemocracy. The money started flowing in 2002 when an eighteen-month "train and equip" program with a total budget of $64 million was started to modernize four infantry battalions and one mechanized company.
" - The army also received significant training assistance as well as equipment from the United States military," he notes. "Georgia also received valuable equipment, such as ten UH-1 transportation helicopters from the US government. The value of the US military cooperation with the Georgian armed forces in 2007 is estimated at $34 million. As a result, some 16,000 troops are now considered trained by the US military."
Most of the military build-up is concentrated against Abkhazia and South Ossetia. A modern, NATO-compatible barracks has just been built in Senaki in western Georgia not far from Abkhazia, and another one is under construction near Gori, a half-hour driving distance from Tskhinvali, the capital of South Ossetia. According to the report, each of these bases will have the capacity to house a brigade, with a troop-strength of 3,000.
Peace in peril
Georgia's military plans have caused alarm among diplomats and others in the international community who prefer a peaceful coexistence of the various ethnic groups who inhabit the Caucasus region.
" - The fact that the two new barracks are close to the conflict- zones of Abkhazia and South Ossetia has led to concerns among both the de-facto governments of those two regions and the international community that seeks a peaceful resolution to these conflicts," explains Vicken Cheterian.
He also writes that there has been a continuous decrease of Russia's military presence parallel to the US-Georgian military cooperation.
" - The Russian military is continuing to empty its former Soviet base in Akhalkalaki, transporting equipment and ammunition into its base in Gumri, in northern Armenia. Akhalkalaki base is expected to be emptied by the end of the year, while the Russian base in Batumi the next year," he notes. "After this period the Russian presence will be limited to the CIS peacekeeping missions in South Ossetia and Abkhazia."
" - Moscow is increasingly displeased to see the NATO and specifically US military presence becoming permanent in what once was part of its southern Soviet provinces."
In what some see as a quid pro quo arrangement, Georgia now uses its military to assist the United States in unpopular wars. In return for this favor, the United States continues to oppose the right of Abkhazia and South Ossetia to independence.
" - The recent announcement in Tbilisi to increase Georgian military participation in Iraq from 850 to 2,000 comes at a time when most European nations have already started withdrawing their troops, and the Bush administration is under political pressure in Washington to come up with its own schedule to decrease troops," explains Cheterian. He also points out that another 150 Georgian military serve in Kosovo. This is an area where NATO-led troops keep Serbia out, and where the United States State Department is actively pushing for the right of self-determination to override the territorial integrity of a metropolitan state, Serbia.

The classically trained avant-garde keyboardist, Tom Constanten, would depart following…....

"It is about time. We are not machines that can be just turned off. They won't let us drink, they won't let us fraternize, and then they send us off to war. Whatthe hell do they expect us to do for a year? I'm sorry but they made it a co-ed armed forces, now they should deal with the reality that when human beings are sent away for a year or more from home, there is gonna be some hanky panky going on. Wether they like it or not, the result of not letting soldiers engage in normal relations is really bad for everyone. It always ends up with the worst case scenarios taking place because they tried to bottle up human nature. Not to mention making the worst environments even more horrible. (IRAQ) Besides what consenting male and female soldiers do behind closed doors on their own time is their own business. Not the Army's. If your gonna send adult men and women to war you had better expect that these things are gonna happen no matter what regulation or reprecussion they throw at you. They might be soldiers but they are also human. Its time the Army start treating all of its soldiers like adults, and leave the no fraternization nonsense in basic and A.I.T. where it belongs. You can go die for your country, but if you just happen to get lucky in the process we'll send you to jail and take your money! What a crock of sh@t! Get a grip Army, join the real world." -

The Right of Might
The most recent offensive, using the pretext of the natural disaster in Myanmar, demonstrates the extent of the "R2P" proponents' plans. The local military government has for years felt under attack from the West, and for the past few months been confronted with threats of US air strikes, which is why it is not willing to unconditionally open up its territory to Western relief personnel, including soldiers.[6] The "International Crisis Group" (ICG) says this refusal by the Myanmarian government could be considered a "crime against humanity" and - in accordance with "R2P" - trigger a military attack.[7] In fact the Canadian "R2P" basic principles paper provides for "overwhelming natural or environmental catastrophes" as possible triggers for foreign intervention.
